It is not American sweatshirt material, but not the horrid super cheap plastic shiny polyester that a lot of China made sweatshirts are eaither it is slightly stretchy, actual fabric feeling not shiny polyester. Thicker than a long sleeve shirt but not fleece lined like an American sweatshirt. I love it! It fit like the measurements say, and as a die hard halloween fanatic I absolutely adore the print. I washed in cold and dried on super low heat and it held up.
